World’s Most Expensive Home

Price: $75 million
Location: Bridgehampton, N.Y.
Palatial homes and high property prices are common in New York’s favorite high-end resort area. This 25,000-square-foot house is done to the highest standards, but it’s the extras that really pump up the price. Three Ponds encompasses 60 acres of rolling waterfront farmland, with a U.S. Golf Association-rated golf course (plus pro shop), 75-foot-long swimming pool, grass tennis court and orangery. The 14 gardens include a crabapple allĂ©e; vegetable garden; lily walk; and rose, hydrangea and butterfly gardens. Of course, there are also the three ponds stocked with fish. Three Ponds is listed with Susan Breitenbach at Allen M. Schneider Associates.

  1. Not even close. Here are 8 more, all on market for 100 million+ up to 500 mil… http://most-expensive.net/homes-market

and THE most expensive house in world is estimated at close to a billion in construction. A 400,000 sq ft, 27-story private residence [first 6 floors are garage space for 160 cars], 3 helipads, ‘several’ pools… all for the richest man in India, his wife, and 3 children. http://bit.ly/cZPBHi

  3. Wanna know what excessive is? This makes a $75 million home look like peanuts:

  5. Well, no problem! When I win the Lotto, I’ll buy this house and the car in the post below. No problem

  7. Wow, that is a big house, but I’m more shocked by brgpc’s comment; now that is an expensive house! lol I admit I like these big fancy houses, but to look at; I wouldn’t want to pay the taxes on them, even if I had the money to do so. I’d rather have a nice comfy house to live in and be able to spend all my excess money on fun stuff.

  9. This is absolutely ridiculous who the hell needs a 27,000 sq ft home? It’s nothing more than ostentatiousness at its worst – hey everybody look at what we have!! Conspicuous consumption and status seeking and it sickens me to think what they could have done with all that money! We live in a three bedroom bungalow and most days we rattle around in here, I’d hate have to live in that place! I hate rich people and the way they flash around their possessions!

  13. I would turn a house like that into a luxury hotel. After remodeling every other room to be a private spa/bathroom that is so people wouldn’t have to share bathrooms.
