Just because someone is fat does not mean lazy. The reason her legs are like that is a MEDICAL condition beyond her control.
Me thinks it’s a she from the bra lines visible from the back. It’s good that she’s walking but she’s setting off nearby earthquake sensors, too.
Yes, this person is for sure over weight. But looking at the proportion of the legs to the rest of the body, I’d be more willing to bet there is some renal failure going on there. Looks damned painful if you ask me.

Why are still people with medical condition being ridiculed? Just because someone is not a size 8 suddenly is nothing but an elephant? Point finger and laugh at those who display lack of judgement in tattoos, ill fitting clothing or lack of clothing, but leave people alone who have the misfortune to have a condition.
at least shes up walking and still active and not laying in a bed feeding herself to death!

Unless you’re her doctor I can’t imagine that you’d be able to “clearly” diagnose her with anything other than obesity. Not every morbidly obese person is suffering from tumors or thyroid problems as these issues are incredibly rare. No, these people are suffering from lack of self-control, too many excuses, and general self pity. Even if you’d consider over-eating an “addiction” at some point free will comes in to play, as with all addictions.
Yes, it is a medical condition called lymphedema. It is a very painful and debilitating for most people who suffer from it! There is not much that can be done medically to correct it. I hate when someone has a physical issue that is out of their control and people laugh. I agree with the previous posts, laugh at those who CHOOSE to have weird tattoos or dress inappropriately!

@IAPF: Thyroid problems are not incredibly rare and I don’t know why you think so. It’s 100 times easier to kick heroin, crack, cocaine, or any other drug than it is to kick food. You don’t NEED to shoot up everyday in order to live but you do need to eat. Obese people have to actually do their “drug” three times a day for the rest of their life and try not to do too much. Would anyone expect a heroine or crack addict to have that kind of will power? Hell no! I think you’d have a little bit of self pity too if you were in that position. Everyone would, everyone does pity themselves at one point or another in their lives. Being addicted to food seems like a good enough reason to me.

agree totally there are way to many excuses to be fat and you can not tell from a picture if she has a condition or not
You know what pisses me off? It’s not that she’s a large lady or may have some medical condition…it’s the fact that I’m sure she is unaware that someone took this picture of her and here we all are looking at it and making some not so nice comments. How about one’s right to privacy people???? Just because you are in a public shopping area does not mean that you have agreed to have your picture taken. At the very least she should be getting paid for the use of her likeness on this godforsaken website!! This will be the first and last comment I ever make on here!! I thought this was going to be a discussion on medical matters not a stupid site that makes fun at others expense.
She may have lymphedema, but do you get it in your ass as well? If she does have that condition, she should have on pressure stockings. That is the only treatment.
It looks more like oedema than obesity…if you look at an obese person, the swelling is more rounded and fat tends to ‘fold’. This person’s legs have uniformly swollen and seem ‘puffed’ rather than dimpled with cellulite and folded with fat. Not a jawdrop…more like dropsy.
I got news for you, those aren’t blue shoes.
