   That’s someones knee healing after a total knee replacement. They usually staple the wound shut and when the skin heals enough they pull out the staples. Not gross, a fairly common practice.

   That’s either a knee reconstruction or a total replacement. Ouch either way.

   If it were a reconstruction or replacement then the scar would be H shaped or U shaped. It does look serious. I have the same scar on my right knee but smaller than this because I had a Titanium rod inserted after breaking my leg.

   Exactly how both my mom’s knees looked after knee replacement surgery. Only difference is they didn’t have to cut one of her knees down as far as this one.
